First Semester Final Grades
Due to the availability of the LPS Infinite Campus Portal first semester report cards will not be printed and distributed. As final exam week progresses, grades for each course will begin appearing on the portal as teachers complete grading for the semester. While most grades will be available by the end of the day on December 21st, grades are not officially due until January 8th. You can simply view the grades online, or print them in a “report card” format (a report card will appear when you click the “Reports” link on the left side of the portal.)

If any student or parent does not have access to the Internet, or is having difficulty printing a report card from the portal, please stop by the Arapahoe Guidance Center. If you have not signed up for your Parent Portal Account, please download the forms you need, then bring the forms to AHS with photo identification.

Department Spotlight – Language Arts
Student submissions for the Muse have been coming in slowly this fall, like winter itself, so we’re extending our deadline for submissions until January 19th. Students should prepare for finals now, and think about that poem or story that needs revising one more time sometime over break. We look forward to reading all the creative work of Arapahoe students in early Spring semester, and still hope for a March publication date.

In November the Muse held a contest to see who would win four tickets to the Broncos-Chargers game, and made over five hundred dollars! Thank you to everyone who participated, and thanks especially to the parents who contributed donations and the tickets! We look forward to seeing you at our big event in March, the Spring Showcase!

The Arapahoe High School Speech and Debate team has grown and prospered! Our numbers have more than doubled since last year and we have competed in no less than seven tournaments so far this year, bringing home ribbons and trophies at every outing (Gateway High School Novice Tournament, Overland High School Novice Tournament, Regis Jesuit Novice Tournament, Chaparral Showdown, Creek-East Turkey Meet, and Cherry Creek After School Student Congress/ Congratulations go to all of our competitors! We are still accepting memberships for the 2006-2007 season, so interested students should stop by C-15 after school any Monday to find out what Speech and Debate is all about.
