Muse Showcase
The Muse, Arapahoe’s literary arts magazine, is in its fifth fabulous year of publication, and will be celebrating the artists and writers of Arapahoe on Tuesday Night, April 10th in the Forum of Arapahoe High School. We will be having snacks from 6:30 to 7:00, with the showcase starting at 7:00.

Our famously talented artists and writers will have a chance to read their poems or parts of their stories, or explain their artwork, which will be shown on the big screen. This is the main event of the year to recognize the creative minds of Arapahoe, and we invite you all to attend and enjoy the amazing work of our students! This year’s edition features artwork, stories, and poems from over fifty Arapahoe students who have made a stunning collection of creative work, including thirteen full color pages of artwork inside, a full-color cover, with black-and-white artworks carefully placed among ten great stories and lots of brilliant poems. This work represents every class in the school, from freshmen to seniors. The Volume 5, 2007 edition of The Muse will be available for purchase at the Showcase, or by contacting Steve Miles at spmiles@lps.k12.co.us. Mark your calendar for the Showcase - see you Tuesday April 10th!.

Senior Class Gift
The senior class proudly announces its senior gift - a cultural exchange with the Wyoming Indian High School. On April 26th and 27th, thirty-five Arapahoe High School students and staff will strengthen the bond we have with the Arapaho Indians on the Wind River Reservation. This exchange was proposed and implemented by our senior class officers, Aryn O’Donnell, Lizzy Haskins, Chantal Bouveron, Justin Allen, and Jenni Sneden. Thank you, Class of 2007, for your leadership and forethought; you leave a valuable legacy with Arapahoe High School and the Wind River Reservation.

Career Day
Arapahoe will be hosting Career Day on Tuesday, April 10th. Over 100 speakers will be coming to share their expertise with our students. Each student had the opportunity to request which careers they would like to learn more about and received a schedule for Career Day today. Each student will be able to attend three different sessions. Visit the Arapahoe Web Site for the bell schedule for the day.

College Entrance Test Preparation
Arapahoe’s Naviance Family Connection has links to wonderful tools to help your student prepare for the SAT and ACT college entrance exams. To get to these links, go to Naviance and login. Then, in the menu on the left side of the screen, scroll down to the “From Your School” section, click on “resources” and go to “Test Prep”.
