Parent/Teacher Conferences
Parent/Teacher conferences will be on October 18th and 19th from 4:00 - 7:30 pm in the main and auxiliary gymnasiums. As a school community, a core value we share is strong communication between Arapahoe High School and your home. All Arapahoe teachers, counselors and administrators have made a commitment to be in attendance both evenings. No appointments are necessary; however, we are suggesting that parents make every effort to meet with teachers as follows:

Students with last names starting with

A-M Wednesday, October 18th

N-Z Thursday, October 19th

In order to allow our teachers to effectively communicate with all parents, please honor the 5-7 minute time limit. As always, all teachers are available by appointment if your conference requires more time.

No School On October 19th and 20th
Due to an in-service day and parent/teacher conferences, there will be no school for students on October 19th and 20th.

PLAN Test
The PLAN test will be given on October 28th at Arapahoe High School from approximately 8:00-11:00 am. Interested sophomores should sign up for the PLAN test in the post graduate center. The test costs $20. Deadline for registering for the PLAN is October 26th. No reading materials or extra paper are allowed during testing.

Department Spotlight – Science Department
The Science Department is excited for this school year! Each team in our department has made changes to our curriculum to introduce a more student-centered classroom. We are already seeing evidence that this style will increase student learning in our department.

The Chemistry Team had their annual Mole Day on October 18th. The students engage in food and fun while learning more about the origin of Avogadro’s Number.

The Science Department would also like to encourage all students to take advantage of their unscheduled hours to get help from each of us.
